On February 27 Jeff Ryan ARRL Colorado Section Manager appointed me as the District 25 ARES Emergency Coordinator, replacing Steve Schroder KI0KY who did such a wonderful job in this position. Steve needed some more time for other interests and as we all know, there is only so much time allotted to us in a day. For some reason we can't just call an 800 number and put a couple or three hours more a day on the old credit card! Steve will remain active in ARES and of course Club activities. He kind of made the decision I did "Time for a new person to drive the Bus!"

The last roster I have of ARES members is several years old, so I am starting from scratch. What does this mean? This is your opportunity to sign up, or if you wish and I certainly hope not, sign out!

ARES is an easy group to be a part of. There are no application forms, background checks, blood tests, or none of that stuff. No dues, no paperwork you don't have to sign anything. Please reply to the email address at the top of this page and let me know your pleasure. You are also welcome to call me at 970-835-7838 or on my cell at 970-234-7848. I would like to present you with a new ID card at the March MARC meeting.

We will be doing some "Fun" training in the very near future along with of course, taking a major part in Field Day, the Hard Rock Run and the many other activities that we enjoy as members of MARC. I plan to operate District 25 ARES much the same as MARC during my term(s) driving the bus. ALL of the members of ARES will have a stake in its operation; together we can MAKE IT HAPPEN! Please help me do this.

    73, Thanks

    Ron
